Sacred Art and Architecture

The sacred art for the Dzogchen Beara Temple was created in Tashi Jong, Himachel Pradesh in Northern India by skilled coppersmiths, who spent two years manufacturing them by hand. Each piece will be carefully finished and gold-leafed at Dzogchen Beara, where they will be filled with mantras, sacred texts and other blessed items and relics.

The main items will also contain a sok shying or 'spiritual spine', a wooden staff cut from a fruit tree, according to the ancient art of Tibetan geomancy, carved and painted and incribed with many mantras, then blessed by the attachment of holy relics and wrapped in silken brocade.

The names of all sponsors will be included on the scroll to be enshrined in the temple once it is complete. Make an offering in your name, the name of a loved one or of somebody who has passed away, creating a connection with the benefit that will come from this Temple through the ages.
